discipleship development

I have come that you may have life and have it abundantly.
— Jesus Christ

One of our core beliefs at The Mark43 Institute is that life in the Kingdom of God is available for everyone. This is what Jesus and his followers meant when they said, “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand!” That proclamation was nothing short of an invitation to follow him and live from a different reality. It was an invitation to begin the process of becoming like Jesus in spirit and in character.

If you are a Christian but feel like you are not growing in Christlikeness, we want to partner with you. With humility and confidence in God we boldly make the claim that we can teach you how to live a life that is free from the grips of fear, anger, lust, greed, worry, and a whole host of other vices that dominate people’s lives today, and begin living a life that is full of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” (Galatians 5:22).

Sounds to good to be true? We know. But this is the life that Jesus came to bring and it is available to those who take him up on his offer to become his full-time students in life. Our role is to just stand with you and help as you learn to follow Jesus into your everyday life.

What is required? To tell you the truth there is a great opportunity cost to those who respond to this offer. We are offering to come alongside you as you learn to follow Jesus into the entirety of your life. Therefore, a commitment of that degree will be necessary if you will learn to follow him. There is a great cost to discipleship, but the cost of non-discipleship is much steeper, painful and it lacks any lasting reward. Discipleship to Jesus, on the other hand, will cost you everything but it gives back so much more (Matthew 13:44-46).

What about monetary costs? We do not charge anything, but if you have been blessed through this partnership we will gladly be recipients of your generosity.

There is no problem in human life that apprenticeship to Jesus cannot solve.
