When Pandora Gets it Wrong...

I listen to music to make menial tasks (dish washing, reading reports, responding to a billion emails) easier on my soul. And like most people I go to Pandora (or a similar engine) for my fix. My goto channels are Anita Baker, Corinne Bailey Rae, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, and other similar genres.

Sometimes I want to slap Pandora a high-five because they get it. You know they get it when you've been listening for so long that a notice comes up asking;

"Are you still listening? We don't like playing to an empty room."

"Yes, Pandora, I'm still listening. Play on playa (I still speak like this)."

But then there are times when I just want to slap them. For example, why would a Keshia Cole song ever been grouped with Anita Baker?  Is there a conspiracy against my ears or something? Is this not a slanderous suggestion against the Songstress (No offense, Keshia)?

Typically when a mischaracterization of just-listening, like the aforementioned one, happens I grab my phone or the mouse, and hit the thumbs button as fast as possible. Today I almost dropped my phone in the dishwater in my haste to dislike a song.

Be better Pandora. Be better.
