Knowing Christ

When I read about how other people describe Christ I feel like I do not know him at all. I feel like, to play off JB Phillips book, my Jesus is too small.

I want to know the Jesus whom Paul described as being so captivating that his riches are, "unsearchable," or "boundless," or "endless." (Ephesians 3:8)

I read experiences from people who are famous like St. Francis, John Wesley, Dietrich Bonhoeffer; and even the not so famous ones like Amy Carmichael, David Livingstone, and others who have known Christ in extremely transformative ways. When I read about the Jesus they knew I'm filled with a weird kind of jealousy.

I want to known him, too; I mean really know him. Like KNOW HIM KNOW HIM!

It has to happen.
