3 Questions from Dallas Willard

I have been reading Dallas Willard's book, The Divine Conspiracy, lately. It is one of the most thought provoking and timely books that has been written in the last 25 years. There are several passages that have caused me to pause, close the book, and simply think; here is one of them.

When speaking of the gospel that permeates society, he directs three questions at those who preach the gospel.

1. Does the gospel I preach and teach have a natural tendency to cause people who hear it to become full-time students of Jesus?
2. Would those who believe it become his apprentices as a natural ‘next step’?
3. What can we reasonably expect would result from people actually believing the substance of my message?

Hope his questions cause you to pause and reflect, too.
