Lenten Blogging: Day Six

Today's Thought: "Tell us how your week went by putting together a playlist of five songs that represent it."

I usually think of my life in terms of music, so this post will be relatively easy for me. Here goes...

At the beginning of last week I was really missing my dad; he died in 2008 at the age of 50. I'm not typically an emotional person, and neither was my dad, so when I'm feeling the need to talk to someone about life it's usually him.

Anyway, since he was on my mind a lot I chose to listen to music that reminded me of him. There are 3 songs that I had on repeat for about 2 days straight. The first is one I just recently heard; the next two were songs I played repetitively as I traveled between Dayton and Cincinnati when he was in the hospital.
  1. Be Still - The Fray
  2. Pass Me Over - Anthony Hamilton
  3. Coming Home - John Legend
The next song represents my commitment to fitness. I just hung up a heavy bag in my garage, and now that it's warm outside I've started running again. When I work out, like most people, I need something with some beat. I don't know a better work out song than For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) by AC/DC; I challenge you to listen to it without doing push-ups or something.

My final song represents my feelings of continuing a journey. Whenever I begin pondering and dreaming I listen to music that's kinda dramatic. The song that represents this is called Space Lion, from the Cowboy Bebop OST.

That'll do it.

Tomorrow's Question: "If you could have any author - living or dead - write your biography, who would you choose?
